We do this through leadership training and application, one-on-one mentorship, and a top-notch IU education—all on a campus you’ve only dreamed of.

After graduation, you’ll be ready to serve as an Air Force officer or a leader in any field you choose to pursue.

But more than that, you’ll be part of something great: a world-class university, a community of high achievers, and a legacy of leaders.

Detachment 215 at Indiana University Bloomington is committed to developing the best Air Force leaders and citizens of character dedicated to serving the nation.

Air Force ROTC alumni are saving lives and leading change all over the world. We continue to shape the country’s next great leaders.

Gain the confidence to achieve

You’re capable of anything. That’s why our leadership training will push you further, set your sights higher, and help you achieve everything you want to achieve. Air Force ROTC is where you’ll hone your strengths and develop new ones.

See how we shape leaders

Some benefits that I have gained from ROTC is the responsibility that I had to learn from the first day in the program, not only for myself but also the people around me. Additionally, I have made some of my best friends that hold similar goals and aspirations. These friends, and fellow cadets, push me to be the best version of myself both physically and mentally.

Home to all of Indiana’s cadets

Air Force ROTC Detachment 215 hosted at Indiana University Bloomington maintains a crosstown agreement with Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and Butler University. This means we offer IUPUI and Butler students the same excellent Air Force ROTC training and experience.

Cadets studying at IUPUI and Butler attend Leadership Lab and an Aerospace Studies course on the IU Bloomington campus.
