Lt Col Tyler P. Harman is the Commander, AFROTC Det 215, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. He earned his commission from Reserve Officer Training Corps at Iowa State University in 2007.  As a Senior Air Battle Manager, he has over 1,700 hours on the E-8C, including 800 combat hours in support of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Additionally, Lt Col Harman completed a staff tour at 7th Air Force as Chief of Airspace, where he was the principal coordinator with the Republic of Korea on civil and military Airspace.  Finally, he deployed as Senior Air Liaison Officer to the 101st Airborne Division Commander to Romania supporting Operation EUROPEAN ASSURE, DETERE, REINFORCE following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Prior to this assignment, Lt Col Harman was the Commander, 12th Combat Training Squadron, Fort Irwin AIN, CA.  During this assignment he advised the Commander of the Army’s National Training Center on all aspects of Airpower while directing operations for the Air Force’s GREEN FLAG Exercise.
