Capt Joseph D. Williams is the Recruiting Officer, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), Detachment 215 at Bloomington, Indiana. He is responsible for AFROTC cadet classroom instruction and recruiting operations for the Detachment.
Capt Williams is a native of Indiana. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Math Education from Ball Statue University and a Master of Arts in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University before commissioning through Academy Military Science in 2010. Captain Williams has 25 years of military service and was prior enlisted with four years active duty, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant as a Traditional Guardsman. His experience includes Logistic Readiness Squadron, Operations Plans and Execution Officer, Acting MSG Deputy Commander, and Sustainment Flight Commander in the Force Support Squadron. Prior to his current position, Captain Williams was the Indiana State Homeland Defense Officer for the Indiana Air National Guard at Indiana National Guard Headquarters, Indianapolis, Indiana.
