Technical Sergeant Jason Gardner is the NCOIC of Personnel, Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, Detachment 215 at Indiana University. In this capacity, TSgt Gardner is responsible for cadet records/personnel actions, cadet pay and scholarship/financial aid, and monitoring tuition payments. In addition, he is the detachment’s Security Clearance Monitor, Unit Deployment Manager, Unit Fitness Program Manager, and Detachment Safety Rep.

TSgt Gardner entered the U.S. Air Force in May 2001 as an Aerospace Engineer. In this role, he served to maintain operational readiness of the Long Range Strategic Bomber, B-1 Lancer. TSgt Gardner crosstrained into the personnel career field in 2007. As a personnelist he has served in numerous group and wing level support positions. TSgt Gardner most recently served as the NCOIC of personnel at Detachment 010 at the University of Alabama. He deployed to Guam in 2003 and to Cuba in 2011 in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

TSgt Gardner’s military decorations include the Air Force Commendation medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Expeditionary Global War on Terrorism, National Defense Service Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
